BetterCare Caddy: Making the everyday better

Many patients who go through hospitalization have to utilize the bedside commode. The problem, however, is that there is usually no space for toiletry storage convenient for the patient. Hospital rooms are often cluttered with belongings, medical equipment, or confined in space. The figure below shows an example of current nursing staff creativity to solve this problem.

Unfortunately, the other options are worse than this. Toiletries stored in the wash basin often rest on the floor, on top of the trash can, or on the bed where it has to be moved whenever the patient needs to move. Urinal storage is also a concern. There is no designated place for filled urinals and it is often left hanging close to the IV lines, or on the floor where it can be tipped over easily, or even on the bedside table where there can be cross contamination with food and personal belongings!

There had to be a better solution!

The BetterCare caddy solves this problem by providing a designated place for the patients belongings close to them. Our clamp attaches to vertical and lateral poles which enables its application to commonly used medical equipment (the bedside commode, IV Pole, bathroom/shower/bed rails, etc).

With the BetterCare Caddy I hope to help provide better care for patients and loved ones everywhere. Whether it is in an inpatient facility or at home, we want to come alongside you to help make the everyday better.
